Static Caravan Hire in Exmoor

We have two identical, 4 berth, well equipped static holiday caravans for hire, which are ideal for couples looking for a quiet retreat. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the statics free of charge.

The caravans are well spaced and set in a secluded area surrounded by trees and shrubs with pleasant views over the site and the countryside beyond.

They make an excellent base for your visit and have everything you need to ensure your stay is a comfortable one, whether you want to tour the beautiful countyside, take advantage of the many wonderful walks, tackle a cycle trail, enjoy the fishing on one of the lakes or just wish to relax on site, Lowtrow Cross is the perfect choice.

  • 2 bedrooms, 1 spacious double with clock/radio and hairdryer and 1 twin, each with 13.5 tog duvets, pillows and spare blanket.
  • Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.
  • Kitchen with  full size cooker, hob and grill, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and cafetiere.
  • Crockery and cooking utensils.

Each caravan has its own patio area complete with table and chairs, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day and watching the sun set over the moor, while breathing in the clean Somerset air. There are many species of birds feeding and nesting on site and Buzzards can often be seen circling overhead. BBQ’s are allowed providing they are kept off the grass, we have disposable BBQ’s for sale in the shop.

Inside reception is a small, but very well stocked shop selling essential items and local produce including, fresh milk, local free range eggs, Exmoor honey, butter, cheese, the local butcher’s own bacon, sausages, burgers and pasties. Guests also have access to the comprehensive tourist information, maps/guides/walks and a library/book exchange. The site wardens or owners are always on hand to help with any queries or with planning a route. Guest also have access to the coin operated laundry on site.

The Inn, which is adjacent to the site, is independently run and serves home cooked food and local real ales and is popular with both locals and visitors, table reservations are recommended at weekends and during the summer months. They welcome visitors from the site and their well behaved dogs.
